Horus Software is one of Belgium's leading accounting solutions, trusted by thousands of accountants and SMBs across the country. Their platform is built around one goal: making accounting simpler, more accurate, and more connected to how businesses actually operate.
Today, we're excited to announce that Horus now connects to Odoo, powered by Chift.
Why Odoo matters
Odoo is one of the most widely adopted business management platforms in the world, with over 12 million users across 100+ countries. It covers everything from sales and purchasing to inventory, CRM, and project management. In Belgium and across Europe, a growing number of SMBs run their daily operations inside Odoo.
That creates a very real need: when a company uses Odoo for operations and Horus for accounting, their data needs to flow between the two. Without an integration, that means manual exports, double data entry, and errors slipping through the cracks.
What the integration does
The sync between Horus and Odoo covers the data that matters most. Customer and supplier invoices are imported and updated in Horus as soon as they're created or modified in Odoo. Contact data, clients, suppliers, and other third parties, is also kept in sync, eliminating duplicates and inconsistencies between the two systems.
The result: accounting entries related to purchase and sales flows are proposed and automated in Horus, without any manual re-entry. Cleaner books, more reliable data, and less time spent on tasks that should be automated.
This works equally well for accounting firms whose clients use Odoo, and for businesses looking to simplify how they manage their financial data across tools.
Built to scale, not just to ship
For Horus's product team, building this integration independently would have meant months of development followed by ongoing API maintenance. By partnering with Chift, they shipped a production-ready connector without the technical overhead, and without diverting engineering resources away from their core product.
This is exactly what accounting integrations should look like: reliable, low-maintenance, and built to last.
It's also worth noting that Bryan Steyns, CTO and co-founder of Horus, was a speaker at Chift Connect Brussels in February. Having the Horus team in the room was a great reminder of what's possible when software companies think seriously about connectivity.
What's next
The Odoo connector is live now. And because Horus connects to Chift's unified Accounting API, adding future connectors is a one-click activation, not a new development project.
