How fresh is the data?
As of the last sync. The cadence is configured per connection, so we can tune it towards freshness or towards lighter load on the source, depending on what your product needs.
Do I have to rewrite my integration?
No. Same endpoints, same parameters, same response shape. One header switches a request to the Data Layer.
Can I use live reads and the Data Layer at once?
Yes. The choice is per request, so the same connection can serve both.
Do I have to keep my own copy of the data?
Only if you want one. If you just need fast reads, call the same endpoints and you're done. If you do maintain your own store, the Data Layer supports incremental reads so you're not fetching everything every time.
