How Sellsy turned turned integrations into a strategic advantage with Chift

Meeting SME connectivity expectations without stretching internal resources
As an end-to-end solution for French VSBs and SMEs, Sellsy provides four main product blocks: CRM, billing, marketing, and cash management. But modern businesses expect more — especially seamless integration with the tools they already use, like ecommerce platforms and accounting software.

“Our challenge is to help small businesses grow by giving them an all-in-one solution. But to meet every customer’s need, we have to complement our core modules with external integrations.” Violaine Herjean, Head of Product, Sellsy
Customers expected:
- Direct connections with leading accounting software (e.g. MyUnisoft, Sage GE, ACD)
- Sync between ecommerce platforms and their sales pipeline
- Plug-and-play setup without the need for technical support
But building and maintaining all these integrations in-house would stretch Sellsy’s product and engineering teams thin. The company needed a way to deliver this functionality without compromising speed or product quality.
With Chift, Sellsy found a partner with a deep understanding of the scopes of multiple software categories and verticals
Sellsy partnered with Chift to power two major product extensions:
✅ Accounting Sync
Sellsy users can export client invoices directly from Sellsy to their accounting tools — including MyUnisoft, Sage GE, ACD, and more — thanks to Chift’s Unified Accounting API. These exports include invoice metadata and PDFs, ready for reconciliation.

✅ Ecommerce Sync
Sellsy also enables users to import ecommerce orders — for example, from WooCommerce — directly into their CRM and billing system. This allows seamless integration between online sales and invoice generation or customer management.
“The number one value of integrations is to give users additional functionality beyond our core modules — especially for clients with specific operational needs.” Violaine Herjean, Head of Product, Sellsy
Chift’s one-to-many model allowed Sellsy to integrate once and immediately unlock access to a growing list of third-party tools. This approach aligned perfectly with Sellsy’s modular product and platform strategy.
“We chose Chift for their expertise, but also for the one-to-many approach — it fits exactly with our strategy of connecting once to all the key tools our customers use.” Violaine Herjean, Head of Product, Sellsy

Beyond the product capabilities, the collaboration was also operationally smooth: shared project scoping, fast integration rollouts, and responsive support.
Faster rollout, stronger ecosystem, happier users
“We especially appreciate the professionalism of Chift’s team. It allowed us to build and launch connectors that just work, quickly and efficiently.” Violaine Herjean, Head of Product, Sellsy
By integrating Chift’s APIs, Sellsy was able to scale its ecosystem without heavy investment or risk. The results are visible across the product and user experience:
- Expanded capabilities without internal strain: Sellsy rapidly launched high-demand integrations without mobilizing large dev resources
- Faster Time-to-Market: new connectors can be deployed in a matter of days, not months
- Chift handles API maintenance, updates, and compatibility — so Sellsy doesn’t have to
“There’s always a challenge around understanding the scope of an integration — so that it serves the client’s real needs. Chift helps us get that right, and build smart.” Violaine Herjean, Head of Product, Sellsy
- Better experience for VSBs/SMEs: plug-and-play setups with their favorite accounting and ecommerce tools, manual processes are eliminated, saving time and reducing errors
Scaling through smart partnerships
Sellsy’s collaboration with Chift demonstrates the power of strategic integrations done right. With Chift’s Accounting Sync and Ecommerce Sync, Sellsy can offer its users more functionality, greater automation, and smoother workflows — all while keeping its internal teams focused on core innovation.
“It’s not just about connecting tools. It’s about doing it efficiently, with the right partner, to really deliver value to our users.” Violaine Herjean, Head of Product, Sellsy
With Chift as its integration partner, Sellsy transforms connectors into a competitive advantage — reinforcing its position as one of France’s most complete business platforms for VSBs/SMEs.
