Chift joins the world class accelerator Cegid Data Lab at Station F, strengthening its presence in France. Find in this article what the Cegid Data Lab is and why Chift joined this particular program.
Station F is the iconic startup campus in Paris and the largest of its kind in the world, boasting over 1.000 startups and 35 incubation and acceleration programs. The campus is home to one of Europe's most dynamic startup ecosystems. Often hailed as the Silicon Valley of Europe according to Bloomberg, Station F is the vibrant epicenter where innovation thrives and visionary entrepreneurs gather. This is the place to be, as Bloomberg describes it, to launch a new venture surrounded by ambitious minds who are shaping the future.
Cegid is a leading global software editor developing business management solutions across a range of industries including HR, finance, retail and bookkeeping. With 4,400 employees, Cegid operates in 130 countries and generating a global revenue of 791 million euros.
In 2021, Cegid partnered with Station F to launch the Cegid Data Lab, an accelerator program focused on data management. It is geared towards startups that are active in Cegid industries and have a focus on data. The selected startups should provide answers to the following key issue for business leaders: how to make data speak. The Cegid Data Lab quickly established itself as one of the top accelerator programs at Station F.
Cegid selects a few promising startups to help them grow thanks to a mentoring program. This program spans nine months and offers each participating startup access to a team of three mentors, some of whom hold C level positions within Cegid. These mentors provide guidance and support to the startups, helping them to grow and thrive in their respective industries.
The mentoring program also offers a range of additional benefits to the startups. Participants have the opportunity to meet other startups to share experiences, attend inspiring talks by successful founders to get inspired on how to build and grow a successful business. There are also masterclasses led by Cegid's experts on specific topics (HR, sales, marketing, pricing, etc.).
Overall, the Cegid mentoring program offers startups a unique opportunity to learn, grow and succeed with the support of experienced mentors and industry experts. Through this program, startups can gain the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in their industries and make a lasting impact.
It is important to note that there is no capital or investment link with the incubated startups. The purpose of Cegid is to help the ecosystem grow and make new players benefit from their expertise. This pro-bono experience is highly valued by Cegid mentors and experts. They can go beyond their usual job description and have a strong impact with their expertise.
Our first contact was with Pierre-Antoine Roy, Head of Innovation and former founder & CEO of Crafty, acquired by TalentSoft which joined Cegid in 2021. We wanted to add the Cegid Loop connector to our Accounting API and know more about Cegid integration strategy. Pierre- Antoine quickly suggested to apply to the program to be able to initiate a closer partnership between Cegid & Chift.
This partnership represents a significant opportunity for Chift given Cegid's extensive expertise in several of our key verticals, including accounting, POS, invoicing and e-commerce. This expertise is particularly relevant in light of important trends like FactureX, which are shaping the future of these industries.
Furthermore, as for all software companies, integration is a hot topic for Cegid. Getting their insights on theirs needs and the trends of the market is also very valuable. This is an area where we can help Cegid by leveraging our core expertise in software integrations.
Finally, by opening an office in Paris and partnering with Station F, we get closer to our French customers and gain access to a range of valuable networking opportunities. We believe that this will help us to build stronger relationships with our customers and partners and position ourselves for long-term growth and success.
